My learning journey in TICS.

 Today I would like to reflect on my learning during this subject. 

I have discovered a lot of different tools that can be used in a real classroom. I think that every teacher should have more formation and knowledge in TICS.

With them, you can create a lot of different resources and activities that can really help your students and that will help them to learn in a meaningful way. 

The different TICS tools that I have learned during this semester are used to create many different things such as comics, infographics, podcast, videos...

Here I let you the ones that I have enjoyed the most. I have created an infographic that resumes them. On it, you can find also examples of my creations by using them.

Good afternoon dear readers, 

Today I would like to share with you my experience recording a video that can be used in a CLIL classroom. 

The first step to record the video was to create a script, for this task, we have used the tool Storyboard.that. 

Once everything was planned, we drove to the location when we wanted to film the video. 

The location chosen was Buitrago del Lozoya, a small village that belongs to Madrid. 

The tools that we used to record our video were: a mobile phone, something that we all have and a drone. 

To edit the video, we used the program IMovie, which allows you to edit, cut, paste, add... After creating the video we upload it to YouTube, here you can see the result. 

Regarding how to use this tool in a CLIL classroom, I think that kids love to produce on their own and recording videos combine different skills such as developing imagination or planning skills. 

It is an activity that can be adapted from lower levels to higher levels. On grades 1 st to 3rd, the teacher can record their videos or presentations and then on the rest of the levels they can do it on your own. 

Also, this activity can be done on different subjects like ICT and Science or even in Arts.

Creating a video is something that students really enjoy. But to create it, they need to learn first how to plan before recording it. 

The first step is to order your ideas. For it, is very useful to use a tool like the one that I propose here, Storyboard that. On it, they can visualize how the scenes will be and the dialogues that they will include.

There is a previous post, where I have shown you how to use this tool and its advantages. After using it several times, I can confirm that is a useful tool that students will be able to use easily. Apart from that, it is so predictable and has many different backgrounds,  stickers...

Here I show you how we have done it. On the storyboard you can see a summary of what it wanted to be recorded, it includes part of the dialogue and the main characters. 

After doing it, we recorded by following this script, I ensure you that the result has been awesome. On next post you will discover it.

 Recording a podcast.

In this post, I would like to share with you my experience on how to create a podcast. 

To create it, I have followed three steps: 

First of all, I created a script in Google. docs that you will see below: 

After that, I recorded my voice with my own mobile phone, then I look for different sounds to add to my podcast and I edited everything on a website called Anchor which is so easy to use, and here you have the result: 

This podcast has been created for 1st graders as a welcome back from the Easter holidays. I think that I could use a podcast in the classroom to create audio games like the one I have introduced on it.

Genial.ly for creating presentations.

 Creating a presentation for students.

Today I would like to share with you a new resource for creating presentations, it is Genial.ly. 

It is super easy to use and you have some already done presentations that you can modify that are awesome. 

With this tool, I have created this presentation about the elements of a story that I think it can be useful to explain to students in high levels of Primary Education.

Creating mind maps!

Today I would like to share with you a new tool, this tool is called Coggle. 

I have used it to create a mind map for Science of 1st grade.

I think this tool is super easy to use, it is so intuitive. Also, you can add different resources like images, videos, emojis...

Creating infographics.

Today I want to share with you a new tool🎊🎉. It is about creating infographics, this tool is called Easel.ly. If you click here you will go to the website.

It is super easy to use and so predictable, It has pre-created templates that will help you to start creating your own infographic. As all the tools that I have posted before It is for FREE.

I have really enjoyed this tool and I think that is so useful to create materials for CLIL subjects such Science, Social Science, Arts...

I would like to show you also the infographic that I have created. It is about the food pyramid and I think that is so visual and that students will understand clearly all the information included. I would use it in a Science class, with 1st or 2nd grade students.
